KURNOOL: A person was caught with country-made liquor near the Srisailam Devasthanam toll gate on Sunday.
According to Srisailam circle inspector G. Prasada Rao, the man, identified as Arthi Ankanna from Pedda Cheruvu Thanda in Atmakur mandal, was transporting the liquor to sell in Srisailam. During vehicle checks conducted at the toll gate by the CI and his team, 6 litres of country-made liquor and the motorcycle used for transporting were seized. A case was registered against Ankanna, and he was produced before the Atmakur court and remanded, the CI added.
