Amit Shah To Inaugurate Kerala BJP’s New State Office On Saturday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate BJP’s new state committee office here on Saturday.

Shah will plant a sapling in front of the office building and also unveil the bust of BJP former state president late K G Marar in central hall of the new office.

After the inaugural ceremony, Shah will address a meeting of ward level workers of the party at Putharikandam maidan at 11.30 am. The party state leadership said about 25,000 grassroots level workers and leaders of the party drawn from 5000 wards across Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts will attend the meeting which will also mark the beginning of party’s preparations for the local bodies poll scheduled to be held later this year.

Party leaders from the remaining districts will take part in the meeting online. About 1.5 lakh workers are expected to take part in the meet, party leaders said.

Amit Shah will also attend a meeting of the top state leaders during the day.

The union home minister is scheduled to leave for Kannur at 4 pm to visit Rajarajeshwara temple at Thaliparamba before returning to Delhi.
