Bajrang Dal Leader Stops Blinkit Delivery Boy in Ghaziabad for Delivering Chicken

In a controversial act of religious vigilantism, a Blinkit delivery rider in Ghaziabad’s Vijay Nagar area was stopped on Tuesday by a Bajrang Dal leader for delivering non-vegetarian food during the holy month of Sawan. The incident, caught on video, has sparked strong reactions across social media platforms.

According to reports, the delivery boy was carrying an order that included chicken when he was intercepted by the Bajrang Dal leader, who had been tipped off by another member of the group employed with Blinkit. In the video that has since gone viral, the leader is seen confronting the rider and insisting he call the customer who placed the order.

He then proceeds to question the woman on the other end of the call, asking her religion and demanding to know why she ordered non-veg food during Sawan. The woman is reportedly heard expressing shock and discomfort during the interaction.

The leader claimed no one should consume non-vegetarian food during the sacred month and accused the delivery platform of disrespecting religious sentiments. However, many have condemned the incident as a case of moral policing and religious intrusion, with netizens demanding legal action against those involved.

Legal experts and rights activists have pointed out that there are no laws prohibiting the sale or consumption of non-vegetarian food during religious periods and termed the intervention an infringement on personal freedom. Meanwhile, Blinkit has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
