Parthasarathy Accuses YSRC Govt Of Mismanaging TIDCO Housing Funds

Visakhapatnam:Housing Minister Kollu Parthasarathy has accused the YSRC government of mismanaging the state’s funds, particularly in the housing sector.

Speaking at a DCCB loan distribution programme held at TTD Kalyanamandapam in Madugula, Parthasarathy said that under the first TD government’s term, 80 per cent of housing construction for TIDCO beneficiaries in Visakhapatnam had been completed.

However, during the YSRC’s tenure, bank loans were reportedly taken out in the names of beneficiaries and misappropriated, leaving the intended recipients without any disbursement, he said.

He said the present government resolved the issues caused by bank notices.

Highlighting job creation as a cornerstone of the new government’s vision, Parthasarathy said this government aimed at providing two million jobs to unemployed youths

The minister said Reliance would invest `65 crore in the state. On farmer welfare, he alleged that the previous government misled farmers with false promises of ensuring paddy-related payments within 21 days of procurement. Under the present government’s term, however, `1,635 crore in dues has been cleared, and such support has been extended to tobacco farmers too, he said.

DCCB person-in-charge Kona Tatarau announced sanction of `2.58 crore for various schemes, including via DWCRA loans, life insurance, and assistance for STs in the Madugula region.

Madugula MLA Bandaru Satyanna Rayanamurthy and TD district president Bathula Tatayya Babulu also spoke.
