Thiruvananthapuram: A team of technical experts from the British Royal Air Force has arrived at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to assess and carry out repairs on a UK F-35B fighter jet that made an emergency landing at the airport on June 14. The UK has accepted the offer of a space in the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility and is in discussions to finalise arrangements with relevant authorities.” The aircraft is expected to be moved as part of the repair protocol, and procedures are being coordinated with Indian authorities. The UK expressed appreciation for the assistance extended by Indian officials and airport staff. “The UK remains very grateful for the continued support and collaboration of the Indian authorities and airport teams,” the spokesperson added.
