YSRC Slams Midhun’s Arrest

Nellore:Senior YSRC leaders MLC Parvatha Reddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, former minister P. Anil Kumar Yadav, and ex-MLA Mekapati Vikram Reddy condemned the arrest of MP P.V. Midhun Reddy in connection with an alleged liquor case, saying it is a case of political vendetta.

“Despite a lack of evidence, Midhun was arrested in a fabricated liquor case. It’s a clear act of political revenge,” the leaders said on Sunday.

They accused TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu of orchestrating a conspiracy to weaken the YSRC, especially in his home district, Chittoor, by harassing strong leaders like Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and his family.

They alleged the ruling party is repeating its history of vindictive politics.

MLC P. Chandrasekhar Reddy cited the cases against leaders like Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who is facing 17 criminal cases, allegedly aimed at keeping him in custody without bail. Similar cases were also filed against Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Vallabhaneni Vamsi Krishna Mohan Reddy, and Dhanunjaya Reddy, he said.

“These arrests are not about justice, but about silencing the Opposition. TD wants to prevent anyone from questioning their fake promises made during elections,” he added.
